Authority architecture
Governed AI Orchestration
An authority-first architecture for delegating bounded work, capturing evidence and reconciling actual behaviour before acceptance.
Challenge
As AI systems moved from research and software assistance towards taking actions, the central problem became authority: who can authorise action, how work is delegated, what evidence must return, and how divergence is handled.
Dane’s role
Defined system direction and the authority model; decomposed work into bounded implementation blocks; directed AI-assisted and specialist implementation; reviewed evidence against expected behaviour; ordered remediation; and controlled acceptance.
System design
- Separation between human intent, orchestration, bounded execution and verification
- Capability tiers and approval gates
- Controller and worker patterns so conversation does not automatically equal unrestricted execution
- Evidence capture for observable execution results
- Independent verification and reconciliation
- Local and distributed model routing where useful
